Green Craft Up! provides green training for workers.
At the heart of Europe’s ecological transition, green skills are also becoming essential for manufacturing companies.
With the Green Craft Up! project, we are participating in a European partnership that aims to raise awareness and train adult workers over the age of 50 – and their corporate trainers – in the green skills of the future.
A European challenge: green transition and continuing education
The European Union has placed the green transition at the heart of its economic and industrial policies.
With the Green Deal, the EU is committed to achieving climate neutrality by 2050, promoting more sustainable production models, energy efficiency and a circular economy.
In this scenario, manufacturing companies such as ours play a crucial role not only as economic players, but also as environments for growth for the people who work there.
In this context, continuous training becomes essential: updating skills means not only innovating processes, but also valuing workers, making them protagonists of the transformation underway.

Green Craft Up! training for workers
The Green Craft Up! project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme – KA2 – VET sector , is a small-scale partnership involving four European organisations:
- ilmiolavoro, a training organisation based in Campli (TE), active in both schools and the business world;
- WFS Bildung (Germany), a German training institution with a strong focus on vocational training and sustainability;
- Kreishandwerkerschaft Region Karlsruhe, German Chamber of Commerce for the Karlsruhe region, representing craft businesses and promoting the professional development of workers in the Karlsruhe region.
The common goal? To raise awareness of green issues among adult workers over the age of 50, providing them and their corporate trainers with practical training tools.
Our commitment to sustainability
Last week, the first training session took place at the Castilenti plant, during which we were able to discuss green issues, business experiences and new approaches to integrating green skills into production contexts with our project partners.
At Savini Srl, we believe that ecological transition must start with real, measurable actions.
For years, we have been working to reduce our environmental impact by producing over 40% of our energy needs from photovoltaic systems installed on our factory, using recycled panels for the production of our furniture and constantly optimising our processes to reduce waste and improve manufacturing efficiency.
With Green Craft Up!, we are taking a further step: we are investing in green training for workers so that they can become an active part of environmental change within the company as well.
